Feasibility Study
HIGHLAND COURT
A comprehensive study of the existing State Farm claims
processing office included evaluations and feasibility study
for adaptive reuse. These included analysis of substructure
and superstructure, compliance with current codes including
handicap accessibility, structural, plumbing, HVAC, electrical
and fire resistance.
Viability of use was studied for Class A office space,
commercial condominiums and retail use including site
analysis of parking and loading docks.
Exterior Renovation is the next step. The original building
foundation is a post-tension slab. The addition was
slab-on-grade. Major ADA compliance of plumbing was
considered cost prohibitive because demolition could easily
compromise the structural integrity of the post-tension
structural slab.
