IRBY VEHICLE MAINTENANCE FACILITY
This 48,000sf project consists of commercial offices and
adjoining maintenance facility comprised of Mechanic,
Welding, and Body and Paint shops. The layout of the office
spaces was designed to provide flexible expansion on either
side of the building. Each shop located within the
maintenance facility was designed with support spaces
such as parts room, break room, storage, Foreman’s office,
and restrooms so that each function can operate apart from
the whole in order to avoid disruptions. The shops are linked
through a ten ton overhead 40 ft bridge crane that runs from
end to end of the maintenance facility.
